To view a graph you must first choose a location, a date range and calculate the sun data. You will find a Graph button on the Sun Data Display window. You can view the graph for the selected day of the Daily Summary List by clicking on the Graph button.
The graph plots the sun’s position throughout the day. Each large dot is at half-hour increments. If you are calculating at fifteen minute intervals, small dots will be shown at those intervals.
The horizontal axis is for the azimuth bearings (position on horizon) of the sun’s center. The vertical axis is for the altitude (height in the sky) of the sun’s center.
Zero (0°) altitude is the “True Horizon,” the shaded horizontal line (green) on the grid. See the Glossary.
Each dot on the graph’s main grid, Altitude and Azimuth, represents 5 degrees.
Each dot on the vertical E, S, W or N lines is 2 degrees in altitude.
The sunrise and sunset times displayed at the bottom of the graph, are for the TOP edge of the sun at the “True Horizon.” (The graph plots the CENTER of the sun.)
When you are finished viewing the Graph Display press the RETURN key or click the Close Box.
